The Swamp Guinea Restaurant

What to Expect: This is a family style restaurant. They serve by the order or you can order the all-you-can-eat family style meal which includes everything from country ham, shrimp, flounder, catfish, etc., and the trimmings. Be prepared to get your fill. No alcohol served.

Jolin's Fish House
Location: Going up the Tugaloo River, the dock will be to the left of T43, just short of the I-85 bridge. This is quite a distance from Big Water Marina. Count on a two day cruise. Plan on leaving Big Water Marina early in the day to allow time to get up the river, you need a windy day or be in the mood to motor. It's a challenge to sail all the way to the Harbor Light Bridge, once there enjoy a relaxing evening.

What to Expect: This is a southern fish camp. As you enter the restaurant door, you will pay for the all-you-can-eat meal. The menu is similar to the Swamp Guinea. The food and service is good. No alcohol served. Note this is a family restaurant, even the dock offers a swimming area with diving board.

Location: Take I-85 South to Lavonia, GA Exit 173 ( Hwy. 17, Helen Taccoa ) Travel West towards Toccoa and Clarkesville following Hwy. 17 signs to Helen.

What to Expect: Helen is a re-creation of an alpine village on the Chattahoochee River. Plenty of tourist stuff; shopping, amusements, attractions, entertainment and recreation. The tube ride down the Chattahoochee River is inexpensive and great family fun.
