Where is Big Water Marina and Campground located?

We are located at 320 Big Water Rd. Starr, SC 29684.
Is JR Cash's Grill & Bar open?

JR Cash's Grill & Bar is open seasonally. 2023 Spring/Summer Hours: *2023 Season Opening Date TBA* Thursday: 3 PM-9 PM Friday & Saturday: 11 AM-10 PM Sunday: 11 AM-9 PM For questions or concerns, please call (864) 309-0111.
Do you have boat ramp access?

Yes, we have a boat ramp with private access available to marina tenants and campers. Access to the boat ramp may be restricted during holidays and events. Please contact our office at (864) 226-3339 with any questions.
Do you have covered slips?

We do not currently have covered slips, but it is in our future plans to add them to our boat storage options.
Are there cabins available for rent?

Yes! We now have 6 NEW tiny cabins available fore rent. Check out all the details and book your stay here.
Do you rent jet skis?

Big Water Marina does not have jet skis rentals at this time. Our current lineup of boat rentals at Big Water Marina includes pontoons, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and new hydrobikes!
Do I need a boater’s license to rent a boat?

No, South Carolina law states that persons 16 years of age and older are legally able to operate a personal watercraft (PWC) without restrictions; however, we do require all renters to be 25+ years of age. A licensed USCG Captain is available for hire upon request. Pricing information can be found here, and all inquiries can be made by calling our office at (864) 226-3339 or emailing the Captain directly at Bdpricesail@charter.net.
Is there Wi-Fi at Big Water Marina and Campground?

Yes, we have guest Wi-Fi for all your technology needs!
What payment forms do you accept?

We accept cash and card for watercraft rentals and campground reservations. Please note: all reservations must have a card on file.
Do you offer a military/first responder discount?

Yes, in appreciation of our service women and men, we offer at 10% discount* to all active and retired first responders and military personnel. To receive the discount when booking online, please call us at (864) 226-3339 or email us at info@bigwatermarina.com to verify your eligibility. To receive the discount on-site, simply show a valid ID card at checkout. *Discount applies to all booking types and select retail items.
Are pets allowed on the property?

Yes! Big Water Marina & Campground is dog-friendly to friendly dogs in accordance with SC leash laws. Please review our full pet policy before visiting the marina and/or one of our rental properties – https://www.bigwatermarina.com/stay. Note: Other pets may be allowed with prior approval from marina management.
Can I reserve an extended stay at one of your campsites?

Yes! Campers may contact our office at (864) 226-3339 or info@bigwatermarina.com for extended stay rates for up to 30-days at a time. Please note: Due to regulations by the US Army Corps of Engineers, campers are only permitted to stay 30 days in a 60 day timeframe.
Do RV campsites have access to full hookups?

Our grounds have access to full hookups including water hookups, sewage hookups and power hookups, complete with 110 volt plug-in, 30 amp units and 50 amp units. Please note: Hookups are available for RV campsites ONLY and availability varies by site location.
Can I purchase supplies if I need something for my boat, tent, or RV?

Yes, our Ship Store is stocked with snacks, drinks, and other necessities for boating and camping. Guests may purchase items from the Ship Store during office hours.
What happens if I need to cancel/reschedule my stay that I booked online?

For reservation changes, please call our office at (864) 226-3339.
Do you accommodate early check-in/late check-out?

Please contact our office at (864) 226-3339 or info@bigwatermarina.com to request an extension for check-in/check-out times. Fees may apply.
Is boat storage available for campers?

Yes! Campers are permitted to use designated spots in the field to store a boat/jet ski during their stay for $5.00 per day/$25.00 per week/$55.00 per month. Field storage will have spot numbers for the 2021 season and are assigned at the ship store. Designated boat slips may be available on occasion. Please contact our office at (864) 226-3339 or info@bigwatermarina.com for information regarding boat slip availability. Please note: Campers are allowed access to our private boat ramp during their stay; however, access may be restricted during holidays and events.
